ROOT YOUR BUSINESS ONLINE

with a Done-For-You Squarespace Website

When you hire Oak Web Designs LLC, Kira Lang guarantees a stress-free, informative, and collaborative five star customer experience. The goal is simple: create a website that engages potential clients with clear calls to action, aligns with your business needs and goals, and leaves you confident and satisfied.

A website is one of the most important tools your business owns, but it’s important to understand what a website is and what it isn’t.

A well-designed website builds credibility, explains your services, and helps customers find you when they search online. For many small businesses, it becomes the central hub for marketing. When someone hears about your business through word of mouth, they almost always visit your website before deciding to call, book, or buy.

But a website isn’t magic. Simply launching a site won’t automatically generate traffic or customers.

Successful marketing requires consistent execution: smooth lead handling processes, updating your website, adding helpful content, sharing photos or videos, and keeping your business listings accurate across the internet. Over time, this activity helps search engines understand what your business does and who you serve.

That’s where thoughtful website design for small businesses makes a difference. The goal isn’t just to build a beautiful website; it’s to build a strong foundation that supports your long-term marketing efforts.

At Oak Web Designs, I work with small businesses to create clear, professional websites that are easy to manage and built for growth. If you're searching for website design near you and want a trusted partner who can help you understand the bigger picture of digital marketing, contact me today!

A note from Kira Lang to business owners:

Website Design for Small Businesses

Running a small business means wearing many hats, and a website should make life easier, not more complicated.

Thoughtful website design for small businesses focuses on clarity, trust, and simplicity so customers quickly understand who you are, what you offer, and how to take the next step.

Kira, founder of Oak Web Designs, works closely with small business owners to create websites that reflect the quality of their work. A professional website builds credibility and provides a central place for customers to learn about services, view photos, read helpful information, and get in touch.

Rather than overwhelming clients with technical jargon or complicated systems, Kira focuses on creating clear, professional websites that are easy for business owners to manage and maintain over time.

Local Website Design Near You

Many business owners prefer working with someone local. Clear communication and real relationships make website projects smoother and more successful.

Kira enjoys working with businesses in the Jersey Shore area and throughout New Jersey, helping them create websites that connect with their local customers. When helpful, projects can include face-to-face conversations and collaborative planning to ensure the website truly reflects the business and the people behind it.

If you’ve ever searched for “website design near me,” you’re likely looking for more than just a service—you want a designer who understands small businesses and values long-term partnerships. Oak Web Designs aims to provide that kind of support.

  • Kira offers customized pricing based on project type and complexity. Website design is a service requiring significant time, strategy and premium software subscriptions, which reflected in the proposed Design Fee.

The Design Fee for a six page website is around one thousand dollars, however, proposals consider the ease or complexity of your needs and the Design Fee will reflect those variables.

Additional project costs include annual hosting (paid to Squarespace) and the annual domain fee. As a Circle Gold Partner with Squarespace, Kira receives a 20% discount on the first year’s subscription, which is passed on to you.

Photos and video are critical to your website project. Having crisp and professional looking imagery really elevates your website. Adobe Stock premium photos are available for $10-20 per image. While there are free stock photo options, if you lack quality images, its worth paying for a few premium stock photos to take your website up a notch.

After an initial conversation, Kira will provide a transparent quote for your project with no hidden costs.

    PAYMENT

The total project design fee will be divided into three installments:

    • 40% non-refundable retainer due upon signing to reserve your project start date (Kickoff Meeting)

    • 40% due at project midpoint, which will coincide with your In-progress / Revisions meeting.

    • 20% due prior to website launch or transfer + plus the Squarespace hosting fee paid by credit card.

Oak Web Designs accepts the following forms of payment: check, Zelle, cash, and credit card payments are available, however, a 3% processing fee will be added to the transaction.

There is no sales tax associated with the Design Fee, however, add on services may incur sales tax.

So, Are You Ready for a New Website?

Kira Lang has been creating fantastic websites since 2018. But here’s the origin story…

It all started in 2018, when Kira and her husband founded a part-time kayak rental & instruction business, Paddle Time Kayaks. Kira knew a website was necessary. During a chat with her cousin, who is a graphic designer and was working on the logo, she suggested that Kira give it a shot on her own using Squarespace. It wasn’t the first time Kira had worked with the user-friendly website design platform, Squarespace; she had also dabbled with it as part of her office administrator job with Envirotactics.

So, right after that casual yet confidence-boosting chat with her cousin, Marissa, Kira began her journey as a Squarespace website designer.

In late 2019, Kira was offered a marketing manager role with Shore Systems Group LLC, and part of that position was to create a brand new website for the local construction contractor. For nearly three years, Kira worked very closely with a marketing agency focused on the construction industry. During that partnership, Kira gained a solid understanding of website structure and its relationship to SEO, from site map to metadata to keywords.

Through that experience, Kira realized just how much she loved the strategy of designing websites and the unique needs different industries have for their online presence. And so began the quest to find a full-time job in the marketing industry to satisfy her curiosity about working in the creative industry alongside creative and technology-driven mentors.

In 2024, Kira was offered a job as an event planner and administrative assistant with Contractor Dynamics, a marketing training agency. This turned out to be an incredible opportunity, since the company was literally teaching marketing and training roofing company owners from the ground up. What better way to learn marketing than when you work for a marketing training company?!

While surrounded by experienced, awesome marketing professionals on the CD team, Kira continued to build her marketing knowledge and asked questions all the time to deepen her understanding. Unfortunately, due to a shift in the company’s goals and the needs of young small businesses, Kira was laid off in August of 2025 and found herself at a career crossroads.

In September 2025, Kira was invited to attend Squarespace Circle Day in NYC, an invite-only event for Gold & Platinum Circle Members, hosted in the beautiful offices of Squarespace, overlooking the city with a view of the Freedom Tower. A full day immersion into the Squarespace world of creators and leaders. That experience was awesome, and it was the moment Kira knew that the journey to becoming self-employed was calling.

In December 2025, Oak Web Designs LLC became a registered NJ business, and with that, a new business plan and a motivated woman on a solopreneur mission were born.
